What is Make a Difference Day?
Make a Difference Day is the largest national day of helping others and making a difference in
the community and world. Held annually on the fourth Saturday of October, Make a Difference
Day is sponsored by USA WEEKEND and its 800 carrier newspapers. Each year, the incoming
ELC Parent Teacher Guild (PTG) organizes a special school service project to involve parents in
volunteer service . In the past, parents have organized school projects that included beautifying the faculty lounge, recycling,
yard beautification and aquaponic gardening.
